Hi all,
I`ve been lucky enough to be given a good supply of the Octavia variety rasberry.I`ve also been told that this breed stretches the fruiting season between the summer variety, and the autumn varieties.
Can someone please direct me with the pruning process for this breed,- we have lots of canes that gave last years fruit, and lots of small shoots starting to show at the bases/roots.

Regards,
Mark

Hi Mark, You are lucky to be given these they sound really good. They should be treated like the usual summer fruiting canes - cut out the canes that have fruited and tie in the new ones for next year when they are large enough.
