Hi I was wondering if anyone could look at the link below and tell me if my garden is big enough to keep bees. If it is then what would I need to get started. Would the bees be a problem with the chickens as I wouldn't want to upset them.

You can keep bees indoors if you have the riight carpentry skills to give them a secure bee-proof tunnel to the outside world.

My father and his friend had an exhibition glass sided beehive which stood on a lab bench at their school for their pupils to see the way bee society worked. There was a 2" x 1" x 3' wooden tube running up to a hole in the wooden surround of a window with a small plywood landing ledge/lip/doorstep.
Bear in mind that bees need to have ventilation and if overheated or too cold they will either die or decamp to somewhere nicer.

Looking at your photos I can see that you have neighbours on all sides.As a novice Beekeeper you would find it VERY difficult to control your Bees from swarming. A swarm can put 15 to 20,000 Bees into the air in a matter of a few minutes.This can be very frightening for non beekeepers and children, not to mention a very quick way to fall out with people who have been stung.
You would be better advised to look for an Apiary site out of a built up area to start with.Any way do'nt be put off Beekeeping it's a great pastime and we need Bees.
