A Happy New Year to All

Sorry to open a new thread, but I can't reply on the other - keep getting access denied error 403.

Anyway, I hope you all have a prosperous and productive 2008, which will bring perfect weather and perfect crops.

Alan

Happy New Year, everyone, and let it be a wonderfully productive one!

Can I just put in a very curmudgeonly (is there such a word?) note: my beloved and I saw the New Year in with an old lady down the road and watched the London fireworks on the TV: wasn't it disgustingly over the top? Ok, the first few minutes it was spectacular but it went on, and on, and on ... and I was counting the £££ as they shot up into the air, producing a fair bit of pollution into the bargain. Do we have to throw our money about like that?
