Can you draw a six while your foot’s rotating?

While sitting down, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand.

Your foot will change direction and there's nothing you can do about it.

Anyone know why this happens?

Hello Chantal

I tried the challenge and have absolutely no problem at all in drawing the 6 with my right hand whilst rotating my right foot, perhaps I am just wired up wrongly.

No one here can do it Barney and God knows we've tried. I can do it if I start the 6 from the bottom and work clockwise, but not from top to bottom.

Very confusing.

What is the matter with you people?
The task is simple to complete with no effort at all.

Perhaps it is zee zyder that makes it so easy.

Hang on a minute, I've just realised that my clockwise actually is running backwards.

Yes it was the ZYDER.

Did Richard actually say multi task in the same sentence as blokes?

I can do it fairly easily, so that's one worry off my mind :)

Unfortunately I now have another problem: trying to think of practical uses for such a skill

I did it, but only just. There was certainly a strong urge to change direction and it needed concentration to keep it going! How strange.
