A satisfying job.

Well i have done a really satisfying job today.
I've top dressed a fernery in a dell today using homemade leafmould, i must say it does give me real satisfaction turning a load of old leaves into something that is a pleasure to use.
It really did set the ferns off a treat even though they are starting to die back for the winter.

Does anyone else get pleasure out of a simular job as this. :)

Hello Old H',

Having got most of the serious herbaceous borders dug through we treated ourselves to a couple of jobs that we have been quietly planning for some time..very satisfying to progress both...
We have been busy turning a Holme Oak coppice job into a pond bank repair...

photos to follow....

Holme Oak coppiced... with a similar example 2 years into its return on the right...

..and the logs removed went straight into this repair job...

I love to stand back and admire any newly dug large vegetable patch on the allotment - really satisfying.

I love potting on my seedlings and get a huge amount of satisfaction seeing them all there, nice and snug in their new pots. I put 12 3" pots into a large seed tray and put the same seedlings into each tray.

I love the way the greenhouse looks full to overflowing with all my little plants. They look so full of possibilities 8)

Mentioning greenhouses...the photos below show another job that is satisfying to see progressing...after much campaigning and more recently holding of fund raising events coupled with shared costs with "the owners"...Stage 2, the middle section, of the conservatory greenhouse is on the mend..
