Hi
Can anyone recommend a good variety of celery

one for the dinner table and one for the show bench.
I would like to try growing it next year.
Regards
Kevin

A very bright and happy morning to you Kevin, i would say there are not many people out there growing celery anymore, well the blanching type anyway.
A couple of good old varieties still have to be, Solid white and Giant pink.
I think if you could grow the celery well it would not matter what variety you grow for showing.
The biggest problem for celery has to be slugs, lack of moisture and slugs.
I can remember an old farmer growing trench celery years ago when i was a boy, that first celery of the year was something really special sitting round his big old kitchen table.

Good Morning Old Herbaceous
Thank you for your greeting it has made a somewhat dull morning brighter

as for the celery varieties I might just try the two of them. I can get giant pink from Kings seeds but they do not stock Solid white, I will have to try another seed company

any ideas
Once again thank you for your help
Best wishes & kind regards
Kevin
