Whose eggs are these?

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

I've just moved an old water butt and discovered several clusters of eggs underneath. Spherical, the size of a map pin head, some creamy, some white. Any ideas what might have laid them? Do I leave them for the birds or cover them up again?

Dear Granny, i'm not sure how big a map pin head is, but i would have thought they were snail or slug eggs.
I think i would let the birds eat and enjoy them.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
