I didn't get to eat any dinner last night I was so fed up with the game. If they keep this up I'll soon be back to my (very) old sylph like self.
Any news on Jason Robinson or Johnny "sicknote" Wilkinson?

Remember last weekend? The papers couldn't get over the fact that on one day, the English Cricket, Rugby and Football teams had all won.
Wind forward a week and the Cricket & Rugby teams have a scond attempt........it was fated to happen Chantal

Yeah, I know, but even last week all the pundits could say was England hadn't played as well as they should.
I saw the news on Saturday morning and thought we'd lost; and I watched the match!
Oh well, Samoa next week, so who knows.

No chance of the knockout stages even so only two more painful matches to go - have to hope Wales upset the Aussies to cheer us up.
Well at least I've still got my mp3 of "15 seconds to go..." followed by the Rob Andrew scream. Used to play it regularly at work when our Australian contractor was irritating.

Hi Geoff,
The only way the Welsh Team will upset the Aussies is to shout at them "you're a load of bloody convicts" Shall watch the match but I fear the same treatment to the Welsh that South Africa gave us yesterday. I would be delighted to be proven totally wrong! Here's hoping at any rate!

Sorry to say this, but England were totaly inept, and South Africa didn't really play well! I'm sure that if Wales loose to Australia today, then it will not be an humiliation. We do, of course play in that quintessentialy French town, Cardiff!!!
There is one good thing to come from the unfortunate English injuries,an that is that probably the best outside half in English, if not British rugby, Charlie Hodgson, can now be called up. He should have been picked in the first place. I think that Robinson, the coach, picked players badly. Farrel is so slow, that the backs in my club, 3rd div, are faster. He might have been a great rugby league player, but in no way is he a rugby union international. I think that the coach at his club was right in picking him as a wing forward.
I hope that England do get to the Quater final, and Wales beat Australia, because that will mean that Wales will be guaranteed to be in the semi final, for sure!!! Incidentally, the South African discipline was excellent, untill it didn't matter, they did not give away one kickable penalty.

You were right again JB. However, as I said we were well beaten but not humiliated. We actually won the second half. We were never going to win however, Australia, like all southern hemisphere teams, have too much nous. I think our participation will end against South Africa, who will give NZ a reall run for their money. England, I fear will come a cropper against Australia.

Hi Submariner,
I may well have been right but I enjoyed the game and Wales did very well. It was a hard old game and some of the Aus tactics a bit suspect. They certainly went for the man rather than the ball for a lot of the match. In no way could Wales be said to be humiliated like England were.
JB.
In mourning.

Why oh why did Farrell persist with those stupidly long drop-kicks.
Gifted the game to SA, they had so much time to collect the ball and look for opportunities before any english players got near them. Never mind having a cup of tea, they could have baked scones........
Worst of all was seeing Robinson, the only player to really give it some with intelligence, when his hamstring went.
That man inspired my little brute to take up the proper game in the last world cup.

We were out classed Peter and unless we somehow get some vision into our play, will go out in the quarter finals.
On Saturday, due to James Hooks revelations that the Welsh team were supporting Australia in the last world cup final, I found myself also supporting Australia during yesterdays game against Wales. A pity really as I support all of the other home nations when they play anybody but England.
What goes around comes around.
