Making the most of blighted spuds.

What are the best ways of preserving a blighted potato harvest?

In previous years I have tried the regular pickover of my sacked spuds, and to my dismay they just keep producing slimeballs in the sack, contaminating their colleagues to continue the rot.

Obviously discarding the visibly affected I have some ideas for the rest, like:

Washing, peeling, chipping, blanching and freezing, which seems to work.

Washing, peeling, chipping and part deep-frying, leaving to drain and cool, then freezing holds attractions as oven-chips.

What other solutions do people have for saving something from a blighted harvest?

I'm thinking of boiling, mashing and freezing all mine if all else fails.

Me too. Got the first blighted spud amongst all others tonight. Lucky for me that it landed on OH's plate.

Funny, that's exactly what he was saying about the sluggy lettuce leaf last week.
