Slugs again

Hi all,
RE: slugs & snails,
I've used the "Growing Success" slug pellet,

for 2 seasons and believe it works. I’m comparing it to other areas of the garden (in frames or netted) where I use the “meta” pellet and find slime & big DB’s on a regular basis.
1.00AM just had a sweep over the garden with a torch (no I don’t do this on a regular basis, got back far too early from the pub and nothing better to do!)
The areas around crops which I’ve spread them over the last 2 months: no or minimal s&s activity noticed, however, untreated areas away from crops such as the compost heap, lawns & paths are busy with slimers.
Anyone else used them, or not??
and “no” I don’t work for them – just slightly manure faced at mo - hence the nightime garden expedition.
