Hi all

On a recent trip to jersey I brought back some rooted carnation cuttings. They have all rooted well now in three inch pots and are growing away.

I have about 20 so some will go in the garden but i wonder if I keep some in the greenhouse I might get bigger or better blooms.

Does anyone have xperience of this and can give me some pointers on containers, compost, care etc? I use collapsible plastic crates lined with card and filled with compost for everything else in the GH, maybe they will do?

Thanks

Hello David

An excellent question for the flower section that many of us would like to see, until then I hope you receive advice from the many knowledgeable flower experts that I’m sure lurk on this informative forum. Alas I am not one of them but hope a flower section takes root!

Best of luck

Barney

Thanks

I saw a sweetpea question and thought it would be OK.

We should have a flower section at least for complimentary planting and the like. I know the mag is about veg but on my allotment you cant win any prizes without flowers on the plot!
