I some purple headed brocilli mature a few weeks ago.
The remainder is now in flower. Might it be worthwhile saving the seeds when the seed heads develop?.

Depends on two things:
1 Was it F1 broccoli or open-pollinated broccoli?
2 Have you any other brassicas seeding anywhere near the broccoli?
If your answers are
1 Open-pollinated
2 No
I would say go ahead and save the seed.

The seed pods are not quite mature yet for saving. I will give it a try and see how it goes.
Thanks for your reply, Alan.
