I had to chuckle a little when reading the June KG that arrived yesterday. With an April mean above that for May the Gods have finally caught up with the publishers! Within a few days I should be picking my June strawberries and courgettes (alright I did start them in pots in the greenhouse but they have been outside most of April) and as for hardening off - well I do close the double doors on my greenhouse at night!
With 2 inches of rain a couple of weeks ago we have been very fortunate with the weather, so I can't complain.
April was really May

We could do with some of that rain down here! My husband's been putting in water butts anywhere there's a downpipe, but there isn't much prospect of them getting even their bases wet at the moment. As for June, it's like the costa del Bournemouth down here at the moment with bodies lined up like sizzling sausages on the beach at weekends - most of them burnt, of course!
