I also grow flowers and shrubs - is there an ornamental garden forum anywhere that compares with this one?
Off to the plant sale at Harlow Carr tomorrow for more perennials.

Hello Geoff

Perhaps we should start one on this forum.

Geoff

You could try the RHS Forum - or do you know about it already?

I'd be interested in a sub-forum on here too. I'm in the process of re-designing half my plot into a garden and i'm starting to struggle over plants and which ones to get etc. Would like peoples thoughts and ideas cos I don't know much about flower gardening (about the same as I know about fruit and veg)

Thanks Alan - we hadn't found that despite being members!
Had a good trip to Harlow Carr today buying plants mainly off the 50:50 NCCPG stall (I must have a look if they have a web presence) and admiring the Rhododendrons.

Hi Geoff
Glad you had a good day at Harlow Carr, its many years since I visited it, my main memory of it was how the primulas/ candlearbras seeded themselves all over the paths, I was very tempted to bend down to tie my shoe laces and help myself to a few but my other half treatened to disown me if I did.

You mean like this 09/07/05 - went back in the Autumn and they were a mass of seed heads - will have to see what sort of a mixture I have got later in the year, they look healthy plants.
