Caterpilars on goosberrys

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

The leaves on my one and only goosberry bush have been devoured by small green caterpillars. Hopefully the berrys are still remaining. Is this a normal infestation, as i have not had it happen in previous years and what is the best method of treating the bush to prevent the same in the future.
Hoping for a reply

Hi Brenjon,
In a thread about 8 topics below this one there is a topic about Gooseberry Sawflies. I suspect that this is what you have on your Gooseberries.

Excuse my ignorance. Is it thr sawfly that lays the larvae that then develop into these small caterpilars.
