Have just bought a pack of dried Goji berries, which I believe were the fruit which Ray Mears recently highly recommended in his TV Survival programme. Has anybody tried them or can recommend some interesting ways of eating them. I was thinking of trying them out in porridge.

I've now tried them cooked in my microwaved porridge. I was rather underwhelmed with their taste in the dried state and cooking hasn't really enhanced their flavour. Think I'll stick with blackberries and raspberries in my breakfast in future.

Dried Goji berries are delicous as a snack on their own or mixed with nuts and seeds. They can also be thrown into baked treats as a subsitute for raisins or sultanas - great in muffins!
If you find them a little tough in their dried state, rehyrdate them in a splash of water or fruit juice before adding them to your dish. Leave submerged for 5 minutes and they will become plump, juicy and tasty.
