Seeds of Italy

Are seeds of Italy and the taste of Italy seeds one and the same?
I was in a garden centre this afternoon and in the Thomson and Morgan section they had those seeds called The Taste of Italy, and across the packet was written Authentic Italian Seed. I asked a couple of the floor staff but they weren't sure, the price on the packets were reasonable and plenty of seeds in a packet.

No Bren

Seeds of Italy are the Italian firm Franchi Sementi
T&M are marketing Vita Sementi

Both these are genuine Italian seed companies and like all other Italian seed merchants, they do very generous seed quantities at a reasonable price.

I've had a look at T&M's website and I'm impressed with the range of Vita Sementi. The prices are generally a little higher than SofI, but the choice and quality seem identical.

If you like them, give them a try.

Hi Bren,

I bought 3 different varieties of toms from the T&M Vita Sementi range and planted about 50 of each in 9cm square pots and put in a heated propagator on 6th March. I now have a very healthy pot of seedling from all three varieties, plus plenty more in the packets to start some more later if these failed. I should be able to make a healthy profit by selling the excess in late April and May.

Good luck with yours.

I'm using both brans of seeds this year and early results look promising. Good value, lots of seeds per packet and excellent germination rates. :)
