Making your own small wormery

I am interested in having a wormery (mainly for recycling) but living in the city we only have a small back courtyard. A lot of the wormeries online seem pretty big, designed more for families and not for couples. I am interested in making my own stacking wormery... it looks like it could be fairly simple, just using stackable plastic tubs. Has anyone had any experience making their own?
