What a gorgeous day it has been today, it really can transform the looks of a garden at this time of the year.
The birds have been singing their hearts out today, so hopefully we shall get a few more days of this settled weather to keep them happy.
I don't know what the toads and frogs get up too at this time of the year, but they seem to have a free for all wrestling match.
In the greenhouse, i reckon you can nearly see the seedlings grow at this time of the year, that's if you have got anythng sown of course. :)

Anyone else had a nice day on the land today. :?:

Dear Jopsy glad you had a lovely walk, and also pleased that you now have a friend. :)

Dear Alan, do you think the toads and frogs get up to the same things as the birds and bees. :)

I will try to remember Un wennol ni wna wanwyn. :)

Alan how do you know it's the end of the world, and not the beginning. :?

Yes, glorious day! Makes you glad to be alive. Had to work, unfortunately, but managed to water some seedlings and feel the sun on my back. :D

Can't wait to get outside on days like this. Birds singing, trees blossoming and really warm sun on my back. In fact it was so warm here digging my veggie patch I very nearly changed into shorts. The only downside was the darned heron who quickly flew in while I popped indooors to make a cup of tea and gobbled up the three remaining frogs in my pond who were entwined together in mating mode. I just saw their frantically moving legs disappearing down his throat as I rushed out to chase him off. And I sowed a row of parsnips which is probably too early but I never learn !

Yep, it was lovely, and is today as well! Unfortunately I have to work full time, but I do pop into the greenhouse each morning and evening just to say 'hello' and to check on my little darlings! Serious work only happens at the weekend I'm afraid
Never mind, let's all hope the clear skies last, and some of that much needed rain drains away suffieciently, so that we can get on with things! :D

I managed to finish early today so got a few hours in from about 3pm mainly building and, finished off the shelf for my greenhouse, (see growing places posting) The weather was great, but with a stiff cool breeze, which is drying out the soil nicely for some tilling tomorrow and sunday. Got some shopping planned for morning but should be up there in the afternoon.

Indeed a cracker today it was, not sure how warm but probably at least in the 60's (old money) definitely shirt sleeves weather on the lotment. Got a few hours up there this afternoon. Sowed some more carrots in the giant cold frame along with some rocket tatoes. My boy came up and cleaned up the plot for some extra pocket money, got himself a couple of quid!! We did some weeding and made a small bonfire for the lad and his mate to toast marshmallows on.

A few people on the plot, repairing sheds, digging etc. Well done Kev and girlfriend who cleared some of the brambles around the boundary, although I know Kev anjoyed using his pump up paraffin flame gun!! Several cups of tea and a natter were also the order of the day!! I feel like I am getting there and looking forward to another fair day also tomorrow and I will take the camera with me!!!
