I saw a bumble bee on February 32rd on my dwarf fully opened tulips. Still, according to my paper, there was a similar seasonal blip in 1869, when all kins of strange things were happening to the flora and fauna. I hope that what followed that early spring doesn't happen again though. It was followed by snow, frost and all kinds of nasties!

Dear Submariner, have you been at the dark rum again, no wonder your winters seem so long if you get 32 days in February. :D

Let's all hope we don't get a bad spring, as we all seem to be chomping at the bit this year. :)

I have seen a lot of big fat bumble bees this year, flying about looking for nests.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

While watching the eclipse on Saturday There were bats flying around my house. I thought they would still all be hibernating at this time.

We drove home this morning through a hailstorm - our field is like a lake of mud with our ducks very excited - the vegetable garden is untouched (too wet). So what's different for a Welsh spring :?: Don't talk to me about seasonal change :!:
