New water feature...more like a lake... this was the sight on a neighbouring allotment site this morning after the heavy rain last night.It covered in excess of two full plots...all that was missing was a flock of Canada geese
I did manage to get my greenhouses ready for tomorrows marathon seed planting session... I can at least work in the dry since we are promised yet more heavy rain on Sunday

I don't know where all this rain is coming from. We normally have quite light stoney soil but I can never recall it being too wet to dig in early March. I'm just concerned that all the goodness from the manure I put on in the autumn will all have been leached away by now.

Weed, we have got your type of water features round here, theres water sitting around in places that i haven't seen for years, and it's been there for quite a few weeks now.

Roll on the water shortage.

I've spent the day digging my allotment, although I did get soaked a couple of times. The fields all around are flooded and yet the soil was breaking up nicely and not too wet at all.

Chantal, you are really making us lot with heavy wet soil quite jealous.

A saying springs to mind here, the devil always looks after his own.

Don't fret OH.....Chantal has a couple of showers... I, on the other hand, bathed in glorious sunshine and only a few miles away from her too

Its called chancing your luck

Looking at the weather forecast for tomorrow I think I will stay indoors. If it makes you all feel better my sunken garden was under water this morning...

Lovely clear evening at present though and the eclipse is due at around 8.30pm (according to my neighbours who know these things).
