I've just seen this advert for "Eco balls" which are a soap free alternative for washing machines

Has anyone used these? It would be a lot easier to use the grey water if they do, as I suppose it wouldn't really be "grey".

Dear Chantal, we have tried these, purchased off that dreaded Q.V.C.
They don't do a very good job of getting your washing clean, and they leave little hard granules in the clothes.
It might not be grey water, just a bit gritty. :)

So it's all a load of eco balls then?

Thanks, I think I'll give them a miss.

There are detergent free chemicals available for use in the cleaning industry these days..

The ones I come into contact with are known as Micro-splitters and are based on food based phosphates
