hurt my car badly at asda carpark
i went shopping, returned after an hour only to find the nearside rear with a massive prang-in fact its the whole panel on my KA
i went to asda to report it, who cannnot take any responsibility-fair, i suppose. i asked if the carpark cameras would have picked it up, the manager said she'd check!i even asked a lady sat in her car if she'd seen anything
i was perfectly parked inside my white lines
they didnt leave a note or anything
the manager said she'd be crying if it were her car, i replied i was more incensed!
DH luckily had lily at home, he's taken it up the road to a local man who might be able to help
it's probably not worth claiming on insurance, or so dh said!!
anyway its made my day horrid
has anyone got any free hugs going?

What a nuisance. I do feel for you. The most annoying thing is the selfishness and dishonesty of some toerag who has caused you this inconvenience, and just shed all responsibility. So frustrating - have a hug - two hugs - from me.

Thank you Lyn
The manager hasn't rung back-not that i was really expecting them to!
It's going to cost over £150!

Dear Jopsy, there are some right horrible people out there, i bet they went home and said, look what someones done to my car today.
As you said at least you weren't hurt.
I can spare you just one big special hug, we don't want you getting to used to them.
Hope you enjoy your champagne tonight.

Jopsy...yours is the second experience like that I have heard of this week. That they can just drive off makes my blood boil
It happened to me a couple of years ago...I popped down the shops for my Governor and when I arrived home she was waiting on the doorstep.
"How much damage did they do" she asked.
"What do you mean" says I
Someone had called to say that they had watched a lady try to park in the next bay and hit the car....she got out, surveyed the damage then drove off and parked elsewhere.
Fortunately the caller got the vehicle registration number so I popped straight down the Police station to report the accident.
They took details and checked up on the lady...they paid her a visit and issued a warning for leaving the scene of an accident. The Police then wrote to me informing me of the ladies address which was passed on to the Insurance Company together with the Police crime number... Sorry but I did enjoy that.

Big hugs to you Jopsy.
I know it's a nuisence but they'll get theirs in the end for being so dishonest. Chase up about the security cameras though. At least that way you have a chance of revenge

ie. sending them the bill together with crime number etc.

Poor Jopsy, how awful. I heard a story about someone who got back in a similar situation, to find a note under her windscreen wiper. It said:
"I am writing this while several people are watching me, as I backed into your car by accident. They think I am leaving you my name and address, but I'm not."
Alison.
