For those who don't buy Sainsbury's monthly mag - there's an excellent recipe for carrot cakes courtesy of Nigel Slater. We had them tonight with calves liver in white wine and creme fraiche plus the ubiquitous mashed spuds.

Intrigued, not "Carrot Cake" then I take it, if you ate them with liver?

Did you have fava beans and a nice chianti?
