Size of Seed Potatoes?

Went to Focus DIY store this afternoon, my safety glasses broke when I was strimming yesterday, had a poke around the gardening department, where to my amusement they had seed ptoatoes.
A bag with about six potatoes in it headlined 2 for £5.
Each seed potato was about the size of a large marble!
Is the "correct" size, hens egg?

Earlies are usually that size but main crops are bigger. As for the price?!
At Potato day they were between 16p and 20p each - including the 'new breeds' and the organic stock.

Hen's eggs - not marbles.

I wouldn't buy paint from a seed merchant - so I don't buy seed potatoes from DIY stores

Alan, I'll have to start calling you "Compo" if you keep posting such relevant discussion ending sentances as that

Not intentional, Peter, though we have had a lot of seed-potato-size threads of late. I was reminded of the butcher's shop that used to have the sign
You wouldn't ask for a pound of sausages at the bank
So don't ask us to cash a cheque
Regards
