Is now a good time to rotavate my veg patch ? The soil is very wet. I am thinking about selling my rotavator so tempted to use it once more before I do if the conditions are O.K.

Dear Happymouse, if your ground is a light sandy soil it would be ok, but if it is on the heavy side, it would be very hard work and would also make a hard pan where the bottom of the blades spin.

dont rotovate if the soil is wet, i reckon about easter is usually right for us. i was taught that when the soil sticks to your boots, its a good time to catch upon the paperwork!!

Rough dig and do rotovating later in the year.

Too wet here, but may be suitable by March if it stays dry. Otherwise it's going to be April.
