The 3 small fruits on my butternut squash have all yellowed and dropped off although the leaves still look healthy and not yellow. Can anybody suggest the reason? I'm wondering whether the heavy rainstorms during the past week have simply soaked them to death.

Hi Primrose, the same thing happened to a good few of mine last year and there was little rain. However, more developed and grew beautifully, so keep your fingers crossed. Perhaps they just don't like extremes of weather.

It sounds as if they may not have been pollinated. How are the male flowers?
If this is the case, leave them alone and they should come on fine as Chantal says.
