I've just bought my early and maincrop potatos. How do I stop them chitting before I want them to? Every year I keep them in my garage which is dark and cool, and every year, within a few weeks they have long, pale spindly shoots.

Any suggestions?

Keep them in a light place.

Hi

Yes keep them in a cool place with some light out of the sun. Mine go on a north windowsill with no heat.
