Did anyone else see Midlands Today on Wednesday evening? I'm still stunned by one of the news items.

A man who has a saddlery company has just secured a contract to supply the Spanish Riding School in Vienna and as his business is expanding and he'll be dealing with Austrians, he requires someone to work for him who speaks fluent German.

His local job centre refused to allow him to advertise the job as it would "discriminate against non-German speakers".

What next, advertise for airline pilots "no experience necessary"?

Want to be a chef and be qualified if you can flip a burger and ask "do you want fries with that?"

It just beggers belief.

I love my country, but I fear for it's future :?

Look at German women on the beach Grock, they start narrow round the ankles and get wider as they go up. My heritage is coming out. Thanks Dad.

Personally I think the only way to combat this kind of thing is to name and shame the individual in the job centre who made the decision. Do it in the local newspaper to start with, contact the MP, etc. Surely a case could be made for discrimination against that individual anyway - maybe on grounds of health and safety! If he can't employ someone who understands German then lives could be put at risk!!
