Ok,please don't laugh - I know this is probabaly a stupid question!

I've been offered some rotted sheep manure & bedding. Is this Ok to use on the garden? Is one type of muck better than another? I've had the offer of some horse muck too - perhaps I should try both??

Hello Zena, as long as it's been mixed with straw, and is well rotted any sort of manure is good.
Sheep manure also makes a good liquid manure, just lob some in a hessian sack, chuck it in a butt of water, give it a stir until the colour of weak tea, and away you go. Not to be used on very young leaves or seedlings though, it can burn the leaves.
Horse manure is good for heavy ground, but i should think sheep manure mixed with bedding it quite rare as they are normaly out in the fields
Not a stupid question at all Zena.
