Me too! (though I would have preferred Jools Holland)

The heavens have opened and it's p@@@ing it down - let's hope that doesn't set the tone for the rest of year!

Best wishes and joy to everyone.

hello happy new year to you all
we began by watching jules but that woman-bad singer with falling down dress  put us all off!
we turned over and watched london-seeing as edinburgh was cancelled!
then our noisy old neighbours came in to wish us well
it was a quiet evening with friends chomping curry and drinking!

Happy New Year to all too! I did my back in yesterday and was laid up in bed. Last night I had a glass of beer and two port and brandies (to dull the pain! ) and fell asleep. Woke up at ten and couldn't get back to sleep until two. The howling winds and driving rain kept outdoor festivities here to a minimum.
Thanks goodness that's over for another year!

Happy new year from us as well.

Sodden up here in Scotland, don't know if anyone went out, but we were tucked up in bed at 12.30am, didn't even watch New Year's telly or have a drink.

But the seedling let us sleep in this morning. Hopefully that's setting the tone for the new year.

We were in Beaumaris where - despite horizontal rain storms late afternoon on New Year's Eve - we had excellent fireworks at the Castle at midnight. OOOOOhhhh. Aaaaahhhhhh. OOOOOOOOoooohhhhhhhhhh.

Happy New Year all.

PS - How are your banana shallotts?

I was in bed at 9.30pm!!!!!!! I was exhausted. Tried to watch some TV but it was sh*t so switched it off. I agree with Jopsy about Jools Holland but I can't stand Lily Allen, The Zutons or The Kooks. So, I read my book but got so engrossed that I was still reading at 2.00am!!!!! The fireworks in the street were still going off then anyway so it was really too loud to sleep

Then I was up early cos Little Andrew was 11 on 1/1/07 so he wanted to open his birthday presents. So, on 1/1/96 I was heralding in the New Year to the beautiful tones of "I'll get you for this you %!&^**%"
Lots of love

Lizzie
