Crikey Grock - you having a mid-life crisis. Sounds like down right mad crazy loony stuff to me  My neighbour was a para in his youth and he always said his old Sarge used to say - there's only 2 things that fall from the sky - bird shit and idiots.

All due respect for your bravery and hope you get loads of dosh for your charity.

Sue :D

I seriously wonder about "in a frock" for parachuting

I am going to stick to drinking tea and doing a little light digging...after the fright and sleepless night I had after yesterday I realised I had made a potential nasty error in a mechanical writing in another section...it made parachute jumping feel..easy...

We had a young lady of substantial age attend one of our working holidays earlier this year and everyone was so proud of her taking part in the harder work on offer...she then produced a scrapbook of photos relating to some Utterly-Butterly wing walking she had just done.. :? seems it's the next activity to follow with after the parachuting...she had the parachuting photos too!!..seems it is Guinot skin care? sponsored now http://www.aerosuperbatics.com/ for the wrinklier aviator.??!!

No implication of great age or need for large doses of medications is implied by this posting..I am merely highlighting a n other who have succeeded in their challenges........

I now pass on scary challenges...I don't think I dare even post this..

Grock, you've finally lost it mate!!!!! For Gods sake, don't go commando that day

I'm really proud of you. Count me in for sponsorship. I'll have a word with the family and sort something out there for you too.

My mate Twirly did a tandam drop and she loved it. She said it was really strange coming face to face with birds at 10,000 ft.

When did you decide this then? The 2 Andrews said they saw you and Donna at the gym earlier on today.

Grocky !

You're my kind of lady....
I did a tandem leap from 12,500ft about 10 years ago, from (I think) Weston-on-the-Green. There were two other girls (who I didn't know) and we all got a jolly good talking to first of all and a demonstration of how the parachutes were packed, AND the 'reserve', so NOTHING can go wrong, which was nice.....!
The GORGEOUS guy I was strapped to was just THE best. The other two girls with their respective strapteases completely panicked, and so I got their camera crew as well as my own, and so have some FAB footage to keep forever, and no-one but Trousers and the cat to show it to.
I have the hugest respect for you. I did it for a children's charity, and my then husband described it as "the biggest jump of her life" at the charity dinner, which made me blush, unusually...!
Good luck with it darling, and remember to 'breath in' on the way down. I forgot for a while, and THANK GOD I'd given up smoking by then or I'd of died....

You'll fall free as a bird as long as you relax.
Once you reach the required altitude and you're strapped to Mr. Gorgeous, your beautiful butt's on the edge of that open doorway, and the choice isn't yours anymore, trust me.
I'd have gone straight back up and done it again once my feet hit the ground, but they don't let you.
It's a truly wonderful experience, and you won't regret it sweetheart. Be brave, it's for charity...!

Grock, the only worry will be if you are being filmed on the way down and it is mistaken for part of a forthcoming Harry Potter movie.

It's just possible that with your scales and talons some overexcited children migh think that the computer graphics budget has been cut and theyve decided to use a real old dragon.

Alternatively, with army cutbacks as mentioned in the press this past week, if you take the full parachute course you might end up being drafted in the Para's. What was that quote? Something like "My god sergeant I don't know what effect they'll have on the enemy, but they terrify me."

The maddest thing I'm going to do is bait the grock.

It's entertaining, I can sup me whisky and bait her from the sofa.

Seriously, good luck, and remember to let the nice young man go once you have landed.

Nice young man, bet he is the oldest ugliest one there, or a she.

Put me down for a fiver and PM me the place to post it once you've landed.
