My first christmas wish has come true. My wormery has arrived - a present from my husband.
Unfortunately there are no worms with it so its called an "ery" for now. I am however going to adopt some of Chantals worms to get it going over christmas.
Down side is I have to help her clean hers out tomorrow

. Who else has a wormery ? Any advice about keeping it going properly and simply?
Whats on your Christmas wish list?

Dear Seedling, you best check thats Chantals worms are not suffering from alcoholic poisoning.
I'm afraid i don't know anything about wormeries.
And as for whats on my Christmas wish list, that would be telling.

I`ve now collected my adopted worms and have put them to bed in my new wormery. I hope the wont escape like your ants Jopsy

. Having helped to clean out Chantals wormery this morning and seen the lovely compost they produce, I`m looking forward to my bin being full.
I`ve now picked all the veg for Christmas dinner from my allotment this morning - i feel quite pleased with myself

Why did I wait so long before getting into this veg growing business?
Happy Christmas eveyone

My worms are strictly teetotal I'll have you know! They looked pretty mean and keen this morning as we rummaged around for them. Seedling seemed pleasantly surprised at the lack of smell and wonderful compost. I don't look after mine as well as I should and they still work like little beavers. I hope they enjoy their new home...

Anyway, what ELSE is on everyones wish lists?
I'd like to add a shed which is on a dream list rather than a wish list until the rules are changed.
Other than that, I wish I could grow decent brasiccas.

I got my wish a couple of weeks ago but forgot about this thread.
Anyway, friends of mine had a still born baby in the summer. This child was so wanted and so loved already. Anyway, he was still born at 39 weeks.
My friends told me that they are expecting a new baby in June!!!!! How wonderful. I lit a candle for them and I know it will work out for them this time.
That is the best Christmas present I could ever want.
