May I suggest to the moderator that the 'seriously irked' topic be removed from both forums as it is not about gardening or related subjects and merely 'irking' people still more. There will always be dissent and discontent, but that is not the way to deal with it. Spring is coming. Let's concentrate on that.

I could not agree more. Whilst I agree with most of the sentiments voiced on the strand, they have nothing whatsoever to do with gardening (whether kitchen or ornamental).

This is basically a GARDENING site, and more importantly a KITCHEN GARDENING site.

I know we can all be guilty of 'going off at a tangent'. (I know I have done this myself), can we revenons a nos moutons, and get back to growing fruit and veg!!

Y'know what? Have just got myself all 'irked' reading this subject and was almost going to add my bit when it also occurred to me "What the **** has this got to do with duck farming!"

Do I remember similar problems with this unchristian christian on the old forum?
She should be made to watch a loop tape of Richard Dawkins excellent "Faith - The Root of All Evil"

We have got to live with the world as it is, not as we would like it to be.

Allan,
May I suggest that you address that remark to Sr Clare Julian as to me it seems most appropriate in that direction.

Let's just forget the personal insults for the minute.
I can't quite believe it, but it was about a year ago I found this website, and to me, new to vegetable gardening, this forum was complete 'magic', and 'blew my frock up in a Big Way'.....
Now just 'maybe' the majority of you who have been blessed with this site for a little longer than me, and novices like me, have completely forgotten what that 'MAGIC' felt like, or indeed, still feels like....
I'm sure as hell not going to let anyone spoil it for me, but the rest of you can speak for yourself...

'Management' will deal with anonymous guests disrupting the forum, but

In the meantime...

No-one is Mr. or Mrs. Perfect here, and I'm the first to admit that we're all coming from completely different angles and 'everything'... but if we can't keep it together 'ourselves', then how the piss up in a brewery are we going to keep a Forum together?

This is a uniquely FABULOUS forum, and I for one am extremely proud to be a member of it.

One of the great things about this forum

One of the great things about this forum is that, as soon as people stop taking an interest in a subject, it goes lower down the list. Eventually it'll drop off the bottom.

Not interested in a topic? - avoid it, don't post to it, and it'll just die off. A bit like my crysanthemums...

Having said that, I've just realised that the same topic has been started three times by the same person. That's not good forum form folks! I'll weed out two of them, and let the last die of its own accord.
