Just a little story for you spider haters, i always take a pint glass of water to bed with me, and one night i was just having a drink when i felt something brushing my top lip and nose, so i put the light on, and yes youv'e guessed it, there was the biggest ugliest looking spider i have ever seen, floating half way down in the glass. :?
So always have a thought if you take a drink to bed with you.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Apparently we eat about 10 spiders in our sleep in the course of a lifetime.

It was on a TV programme I think Peter. It does sound like an urban myth I know. I'll do a quick Google and see if I can find anything else.

Looks like I was taken in
If you look on here
http://www.guardian.co.uk/notesandqueri ... 97,00.html
it shows where the myth originated.
Although, if you scan down, some people report waking up to find things in their mouths - including a cockroach. Euwwwwww!
