Wet autumn day

Well it's my day off and was going to head up the lottie and do great deeds. Uh Ok - stand around drinking tea and plotting great deeds more like  Anyway it's another wet grey day here in Reading and my clay soil allotment is not going to thank me for stamping all over it when it's this sodden.

At least the seed catalogues are coming through the letterbox. Looks like a day for some serious planning with my nose buried in them

I know we need the rain, but I'm fed up of it just now

I started being really organised (or should that be sad) as I have so many seed catalogues and don't know who to use. I now have an Excel spreadsheet on which I've listed what I want to buy (and the variety) and then a column for each of the companies. If they supply I'm putting in the price. At the end of all this I should be able to see who'll do the most of what I want and how much it'll cost me, including p&p. Admittedly the seed packets are often different sizes but I can multiply where necessary.

Tigger, she cannot, she is practising being "er indoors".

Chantal, better watch out or you'll be like one of my work colleagues, he just got married after a nine year cohabiting engagement. :D

Tigger, you should know by now that I HATE going out, unless it's gardening related and on a dark rainy night what's a girl to do? Tim's working, Rocky's in the chicken shed with his missis and Rosie not famous for her conversation. The TV is crap as usual. What's more, I've already admitted my capacity to be an anorak on another thread.

Amazingly enough I have my results already which are:

Main order from Van Hage (through Allotment Assc)
Secondary order from Seeds of Italy.

I'll get together with Seedling at the weekend and check her requirements then we're sorted. :D

Peter, what's your work colleague like then? Apart from married?
