Hello from a Newbie

Hello! Not sure if this is the right place to say Hello, so apologies if its not..
I'm new here and trying to find my way around!
I'm Hazel and I live in the mythical village of Ibstock. My gardening adventures have been somewhat limited up to now and so I am hoping to learn from the masters!
I've been recommended to come here by a friend of mine who goes by the name of Jopsy.. you may know her?
Looking forward to learning from and chatting to you all!

A very warm welcome Hazel, i used to lay bricks that came from around the Ibstock area.
I see that you know the one and only young Jopsy, never mind everyone has a cross to bear in life.
Hope you have got a good sense of humour, but i suppose you must have if you know Jopsy.
Most of the people on hear are pretty friendly, so just ask any questions you want.

she knows nothing about gardening-even less than me
sooooo she needs to be treated carefully, don't put her off with big words!
i'm trying to get her to grow some of her own produce!

I've heard of Scraptoft - I work in Leicester you see!
I've just spent the weekend with young Jo and the lovely Lily and a splendid time was had by all.
I'd love to grow my own Butternut Squash actually, will have to scour this site for tips!

Hello AT - welcome. You may find us a bit barmy, but nevertheless, we'll have something new to offer. No doubt - you will too! As for Jopsy - well - we all have our crosses to bear............

Hello Alan's trowel. My name is Allan (yes, two l's) I bought my first trowel when I had short trousers and WW2 was on, been busy on and off ever since. I mostly take the line that if you can't eat it then don't grow it, but I have some pet flowers.If you want to buy another one look out for a Draper one with a blue handle at £1.99, excellent value. I don't join in the social chatter but know a few things about edibles, what I don't know can usually be found on the Internet or in my library.
