Dear Steve, i think it is us lot, that should be thanking you for providing us with such an informative and well put together website.
It really is nice to actually be able to see and read how your allotments have progressed over the year. It is a real credit to you.
I have not cleared my runner beans yet, as i am still picking them off my second sowing, something you might consider next year maybe.
One more thing Steve, when you sow your sweetpea seeds, do you bother chipping or soaking them before sowing.
Keep up the good work.

Dear Steve
I totally agree with Oldherbaceous your site is excellent.
On spent runner bean haulms, I have always burnt them if they were attacked by blackfly. What do others do, have I been wasting my time, is this necessary?

Thankyou Old Herbaceous and Cider Boys for your comments, with the Sweet Pea seeds there is a great deal of conflicting advice as to whether you should chit or soak the seeds prior to sowing because of how thick the seed coat is, I personally do neither as in nature they would not have this luxury, so if they want to grow they will, regards Steve.
