Bought some new season's walnuts in our local market today. Every single nut was individually stamped with a totally illegible red ink mark. What on earth is the point of this needlessly time consuming exercise? Surely this isn't another bureaucratic direcive from our Common Market masters in Brussels?

Surprised they don't have a warning as well - this product has a hard shell, do not try to eat this, wear appropriate safety gear for opening, protect home funishings from flying debris and do not allow anyone with arms smaller than Popeye to attempt to crack them :D :D :D
