Does anyone know where to buy seakale as plant and not as seeds please?

I only can find seeds and as they take 3 or 4 years to grow I wanted some plants but can't find any!

Thank you
amo

Hi Amo,
Crambe is not very easy to grow from seed and the two preferred ways to acquire it is by Basal Shoots in March and April or by Root Cuttings From November to February. The only snag is that you have to have some to be able to carry out both!!!
If you know anybody who already grows it then perhaps you can beg borrow or steal some.
Otherwise from seed it is a long and difficult job.
If you decide to grow from seed I am willing and able to give you the best method to propagate.
From Seed it is about 4 years to a decent picking.
If you were to buy a plant and then propagate from that you would be in business after about 2 years.

Marshalls sell the thongs when in stock at an extortionate price. It might pay me to grow thongs from seed and sell the thongs! Meanwhile I will carry on with Whitloof type chicory.
Has anyone forced dandelion thongs.
