Rescuing a grape vine

Hi, first post. Can I start with a question?
My neighbour's garden has run totally wild. I have permission to neaten the edges and rescue things if I wish. I have just found a grapevine fruiting! It's peering hopefully out between a five foot high mat of brambles etc.
I have a promising south-facing wall where I think it would be happy - but what should I do - take a cutting? Try to dig out a root? And what will it need to grow well?
