Have had a visit from the BBC Radio Lincolnshire Bus at work today....colleague Paul did a bit to introduce the listener to the place....also the Boss in the Big House was pursued by a recorder weilding BBC Radio chappy..

At afternoon tea beak I thought I would get my camera from the car and catch a photo of said BBC Bus....

....mistake..??....BBC chappy with recorder device suggested he could have a word about plants that might attract wildlife to the garden...!!

Now as it happens yesterday I was repairing a fence that has wire mesh at the bottom to positively discourage some wildlife...hopping bob tailed wildlife. ...

Perhaps that was not the story they were looking for..??!!

So I was lead to the herb garden, rose garden, and cut flower area and persuaded to describe the scene....Humming Bird Hawk Moth got a mention to help with his required link to wildlife...but I forgot the Fuchsia eating beast...

I think he really wanted me to describe what to plant to bring in wildlife...but rather than specific encouragement for wildflife.... it basically follows our creation and maintainance of a diverse garden.

We have some working holiday volunteers assisting us tomorrow.....I believe it could be their turn for the microphone tomorrow..??!!

I might just hide behind the fence we are repairing..!!

Hello Old H',

We had a drive through "Beautiful Bedfordshire" last Thursday evening along a brand new bit of road to join the A1 to head North....
...We were en route home from Highgrove.

Do I recognise that gravel path Clive? It looks familiar... :?

Mr PH,
That gravel drive is accessed direct from a roundabout on the A158....heading from your office towards Skeggy...

My radio bit got aired today....

...also our volunteers had a chance of stardom too.....some tried devious acts of escape...like volunteering to dead head dahlias that are taller than them.....

...You can run..but you cannot hide from the man from the Beeb with his recorder device..!!

My role today was to make shovelling soil noises...I add that I had a shovel as prop...

I could have done him some Fordson Major noises too...but would have needed an intake of Batemans to accomplish that..!!

Clive, can you do a Field Major though?
Do tell what intake is needed for that, hand grenade perchance? :P

Clive, it all becomes clear! I'm pretty confident that I've seen your garden... I seem to remember that there's a pretty impressive fig tree, and I was tempted to purloin some of your onions... ;)

I would be listening out for your radio bit, but the reception in my cage / office is rotten!
