Anybody used Wallis for their seeds? Had a look at their catalogue for last season- seem cheaper than DTB or Tucker- and a pretty good selection. About to give them a go for 06/07. No website, sad to say, but catalogue worth acquiring, I do believe.

Yep. Thanks Jb.

Another wee plug: having made out a sizeable list of cvs. to get from Wallis, I was trolling round the big list of seed companies for particular cvs. specially recommended by friends on this forum, and writers such as Joy Larkcom and Bob Flowerdew. In course of this I was surprised to find most of them in one place- Dobies. For example: cabbage Capriccio, mini cabbage Protovoy, mini cauliflowers Idol, Lateman, and Candid Charm, dwarf French bean Purple Tepee. ALL of these in Dobies. I suggest somebody's trying in there, what?

I've used Wallis seeds and I will be buying again. They are excellent value and there's a good range. Seeds come in a white envelope with all information printed on packets in easy to read size type and in a standardised format, eg Type / When to sow / where to sow / when to transplant / maturity / comments / approx number of seeds.

Hello Iain, i have used Wallis for a good few years now, and can't recommend them highly enough, they really are good value for money, the only thing you don't get is a picture on the packet.

Kind regards Old Herbaceous.
