What the heck is going on? It's cold, rainy and windy here today and I've given serious thought to lighting a fire or putting the heating on. I thought it was still summer or have I slept for longer than I thought? Is it really November?

Dear Chantal don't panic, you need a bad day once in a while it makes the others seem even nicer. :D
We have got a lot more nice weather to come after today.
I must admit though the robins have started singing their beautiful autumn songs.

Kind regards Old Herbaceous.

Stormy here too today. Strong winds, very heavy rain and it's all grey and gloomy.

Autumn is definitely on the way. Went to the park and the leaves are starting to turn, all the blackberries are nearly ripe, the elderberries are nearly finished (yummy)and the bracken is dying down.

I love autumn, I think a trip to Delamere is in order to walk through the falling leaves.
Lots of love

Jopsy - to get a cucumber a day, you just need 9 - 15 plants, maximum. You might get away with as few as 5. Depends on seed and growing conditions.

nine to fifteen...WOW!...

I have three plants in the greenhouse and the amount of cucumbers they have produced has been staggering...certainly the one a day has been possible over the last month or so... in fact they have been as prolific as the courgettes usually are...

I say usually as the courgettes haven't performed half as well as in previous years
I am in my own little world, ...it's OK, ...they know me there!
