This might seem like a stupid question, but as my summer fruiting raspberries have not fruited due to the dry weather, should I cut them down as most books suggest as they have not produced any fruit. They are only 2 or 3 years old.

I do wish you had had a reply to your post, as I have just put in some raspberry cuttings and it would have been a useful answer for myself also. Going with what I know about other plants I would chance pruning to encourage the new growth needed to provide the fruit...hope this helps.

In fact I tried to reply, but initially my password was not accepted. This was my first posting since the forum was redesigned. It all seems much more complicated than the old method. Must be my age!!
