Caterpillars in the greenhouse

Morning all,

Since the hot weather began I have been leaving the greenhouse door open so I get a draught between it and the auto-vent, this morning Ive returned from a trip away to find that caterpillars (only found two so far so not a plague) have been having a go at my tomatoes. They've eaten leaves and drilled right through some of my big Legend and Marmande.

Darned annoying so I wonder if I should have done something to protect them?

Any ideas gratefully receieved.

I have the same problem too.

While I'm watering or pinching out I look out for the tell tale signs of caterpiller poo and generally find the caterpillar just above. It then gets disposed of underfoot :x

Otherwise insect netting to stop the butterflies or tomato moth (in this case) getting in.
