Is there a woodtreatment with shine?

Can anyone suggest an exterior wood treatment (for sheds etc) that has a satin/silk finish to it?
They all seem to be matt when dry.
I want proper wood treatment not that sort of paint-stuff that peels off.
Thanks
Sandy

I use Sadolin on my front door and it shines beautifully; great stuff.

However, I think the texture of the wood may have something to do with this and if your shed is made of rough wood then you won't get a shine whatever you do.

Hickson Decor.

Go to http://www.cglass.co.uk/home.php?cat=419.

Everest used to use it for the wooden bits of their double glazing. It does shine and is available in various colours.

It might be a bit expensive for a shed or fence though. :?

OH is a big Sadolin fan - there's now a variety of finishes. We had an interior shower finished in Sadolin which lasted over 20 years without as much as a second coat, so I think that suggests they have got an exceptionally good product.

Use an exterior varnish, if it is rough wood you will have to use several coats but you can get the shine you want.
