This year I have grown king size strawberries in grow bags, abotu 2 ft off ground. Plenty of strawberries of good quality. However, the bags look untidy and really are in the way, so I would like to transplant them into large tubs. Is it feasible, or would disturbing the roots be ill advised?

Good afternoon submariner, as long as you can get a decent rootball with each plant i can't see there being a problem. I suppose it depends how many plants you have been growing in each growbag.
Don't forget to water thoroughly an hour before you start to transplant them, and it might help if you cut the growbag so you can see what you are doing.

Kind regards Old Herbaceous.

If they have finished fruiting then cut all the leaves off with shears or seceteurs leaving a crown and stalks about 2"long,this will enable the plant to be moved without too much of a draw on it for moisture. They will soon put out new leaves and it has the advantage of removing any pests.
