hello Vicki!
My brother in law is a chef, and he says you can stuff them or (batter and?) deep fry them (or both!) Hope this helps, not sure of the mechanics of these ideas though!

Hugh FW did the batter thing on one of his River Cottage programmes. Make a tempura batter, dip the flower in and deep fry in very hot oil for not very long. I note from memory that the flowers were just on the point of opening. :D

PS never tried it though. :?

Hello Vicki - last year I made Courgette Flower Risotto. Lovely! If it sounds like the kind of thing you are interested in, let me know and I will post under 'Recipes' for you.

Hello Vicki - now under 'Recipes'. Not sure about baking them. I have only ever used them in the risotto recipe. I did a quick search and found one recipe that states once stuffed, they can be steamed 'for 3-5 mins', if that helps for an alternative to deep frying.
