I was weeding in the garden today and noticed that my oriental poppys had finsihed flowering which was fine
but.. they had gone all nasty around the roots (almost rotten) so i chopped them down and saved the seed heads
Now last time i saved seed heads they went off-if that is at all possible!
I have currently put these in a lidless container in my potting shed-do i need to do to do anything more?

Been thanked: 1 time

I saved seed from mine by hanging the stems and pods upside down with their heads tied into a paper bag. As they dried out the seeds saved themselves in the bag.
